Bella Atelier was born from a lifelong passion for sewing, deeply rooted in my upbringing in Brazil. I was raised in a family of seamstresses, with my mother as my greatest inspiration. From an early age, I spent countless hours by her side, learning the craft and even creating small garments for my dolls. Sewing was more than a skill; it was a way of life passed down through generations. Since 2013, I had the privilege of working alongside my mother, developing my skills in personalized tailoring and deepening my love for the craft. In 2017, I moved to Australia and began offering clothing alterations from home, continuing to build my business and reputation. In 2021, I officially founded Bella Atelier in Brisbane. Although Brisbane was an important chapter, my heart has always been by the ocean—where I grew up. That’s why I dreamed of moving to the Gold Coast. After relocating, I gained valuable experience working at Harbour Town Clothing Alterations, specializing in bridal alterations and more. In 2024, I embraced the opportunity to reopen Bella Atelier, continuing to offer high-quality tailoring services with care, precision, and a personal touch.

Hong has over 30 years of experience in tailoring and dressmaking, making her an expert in bridal alterations, formal wear, and suit tailoring. She began her career in 1991 with her own business, and has been honing her skills ever since. Her work spans from wedding gowns and evening dresses to everyday clothing, ensuring that each piece is perfectly tailored and feels just right. With a Diploma of Applied Fashion Design and Technology, combined with decades of hands-on experience, Hong delivers incredible skill and care to every client she serves. At Bella Atelier, she is not only a partner but also a perfectionist who truly loves her craft — evident in her personalized tailoring and every stitch.
